Student volunteers from local universities such as the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University gathered in central Oakland this morning to participate in a community clean-up event held by KICO, or Keep it Clean Oakland. KICO is a project of the Oakland Planning and Development Corporation. Thanks to these volunteers, the streets and sidewalks of Oakland are litter-free...for today at least.

Thanks for your participation, CMU team! A job well-done cleaning up litter on Neville Street in Oakland. Your community thanks you, too.
